Mary Washington Spine and Rehabilitation delivers a multidisciplinary, team-based approach to the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of painful disorders. Our staff practices advanced techniques, including interventional procedures, medication management, behavioral therapy and rehabilitation or a combination of these to address complex and multidimensional pain syndromes.

Teresa Kerge, MD, FAAPMR

Pain Management

Dr. Kerge received her medical degree from Georgetown University and then completed residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at VA Commonwealth University.

Dr. Suthar received his medical degree from Louisiana State University and then completed residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Louisiana State University.

Education and Experience

Laura Britton, PA-C

Ms. Britton graduated from Anne Arundel Community College-University of Maryland's Physician Assistant-Master of Science Health Science inaugural collaborative program. In addition to her PA and MSHS degrees, she has a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from George Washington University and an Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Services, Paramedic from Northern Virginia Community College.

Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Ms. Britton was a Paramedic, worked for a volunteer rescue squad, worked in the Inova Fairfax Hospital Emergency Department as an ED Tech II, taught middle school math, science and English, and ran her own tutoring business.

Ms. Britton was born and raised in Washington, DC, but spent her summers in the Fredericksburg area. She made a permanent move to this area after completing PA school. She has a life-long history of charitable outreach and currently volunteers at the Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic.

Meredith Chappell, PA-C

Kayla Pulley, PA-C

Kayla (she/her/hers) grew up in Atlanta, GA where she attended Oglethorpe University receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology. Shortly after graduation, Kayla moved to Denver, CO where she trained as an emergency medical technician and served as Safety Director to Porter Hospital's Hyperbaric Medicine Center for several years. Additionally, she worked in Type 1 Diabetes research and interpreted heart rhythms, all while enjoying the Rocky Mountain outdoors.

Kayla attended Radford University Carilion's Physician Assistant program in Roanoke, VA, graduating with an award for her service to the community and leadership in the PA profession as well as becoming a Student Leader Fellow with AAPA's LBGT PA Caucus. Kayla is passionate about serving her community and providing a safe space for all patients, including those from diverse backgrounds.
