In addition to our outpatient practice, we are an integral part of the physician group responsible for evaluating and treating patients admitted to Mary Washington Hospital. Our neurologists are available around the clock, ensuring comprehensive care coverage. Each member of that team is a board-certified neurologist with specialized fellowship training or advanced specialty expertise. We collaborate closely with other disciplines and experts, including neurosurgery, neuroradiology, physiatry (rehabilitation), neuropsychology, and social workers.

Care is available for patients 18 years and older. Our specialists treat a full range of neurological disorders including:

Our state-of-the-art diagnostic capabilities bring together a multidisciplinary and coordinated team offering a comprehensive range of skills in adult and pediatric neurodiagnostics including:

  • EEG (electroencephalogram, outpatient ambulatory EEG, inpatient video epilepsy monitoring)
  • EMG / NCS (electromyogram/nerve conduction study)
  • EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit)
  • Evoked Potentials (VEP and BAER)
  • DBS
  • Lumbar Puncture
  • Botox for cervical dystonia, spasticity, blepharospasm and migraine headaches
  • Occipital nerve blocks for the treatment of headaches
  • Nerve, muscle and skin epidermal nerve fiber density biopsies
  • Vagal Nerve Stimulator (VNS) programming for epilepsy

Masking is optional at all MWHC facilities. However, if you are experiencing respiratory symptoms on the day of your appointment, we kindly request that you wear a mask to safeguard your health, the well-being of fellow patients, and our staff. Additionally, we welcome up to two support persons or parents to accompany you inside the office, providing the support and assistance you may need during your visit.
