Genetic Counseling

Patients of the Mary Washington Healthcare Regional Cancer Center have access to genetic counseling services. Genetic counseling services include a review of your medical history and family history, as well as recommendations for cancer screenings and genetic testing.

Evan Schauer, MD, is Mary Washington Healthcare’s first geneticist. He is a board-eligible clinical geneticist and board-certified internist who works with the oncology team to evaluate patients for hereditary cancer predisposition syndromes.
