Evan A. Schauer, MD

Evan A. Schauer, M.D., is Mary Washington Healthcare’s first geneticist, bringing specialized expertise in medical genetics along with clinical experience in hospital medicine. His clinical interests include hereditary cancer syndromes.

Dr. Schauer completed his Internal Medicine/Medical Genetics and Genomics Residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he was the first combined Internal Medicine/Medical Genetics resident at the institution. He earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in clinical genetics.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Schauer enjoys gardening and reading.
