GME Application

Here’s how to apply to Mary Washington Healthcare Graduate Medical Education Programs

Applications are accepted through ERAS. If you do not have a ERAS token, you’ll need to contact your Designated Dean’s office for a token with a one-time access code to register. You can store your Letters of Recommendation and other support documents and submit materials to your selected programs through this portal, and your dean’s office can upload medical transcripts and performance evaluations through the portal.

Program Requirements:

  • Passing score on USMLE 1 and 2/COMLEX
  • Accepting J1 Visa
  • IMG within 3 years of graduation, have ECFMG certification

Look for our Family Medicine Residency Program in ERAS in early November 2022.


Timeline for Acceptance

  • Prepare your residency application (July / August)
  • Start applying to ACGME accredited programs (Early September)
  • Internal Medicine Residency Program ACGME accreditation #140510002, NRMP Program Code 2347140C0.
    MWHC Internal Medicine is live in ERAS and look for Family Medicine early November 2022.
  • Interviews (October / early November)
    For 2022 only: November/December and January
  • Match Week (3rd week of March)
  • Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program
