Mashal Fakhar, MD, originally from Pakistan, began her educational journey at the Army Public School Humayun Road in Rawalpindi. She later earned her MBBS from Khyber Medical College in Peshawar.
In her leisure hours, Dr. Fakhar delights in picnicking with her husband, indulging in painting and calligraphy. As a newcomer to the United States, she harbors a keen desire to travel and discover the diverse landscapes of the country.
Jonathan Gonzalez, MD, grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He attended medical school at Ross University School of Medicine and completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, with majors in Biology and Microbiology. In his spare time, he enjoys disc golf, playing electric guitar, boxing, and trying different restaurants. He is also fluent in Spanish.
Sean Kim, DO, was born in South Korea, and completed his undergraduate studies with a BS in biology and a minor in chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA.
Dr. Kim earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Lynchburg, VA. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, working out, reading books, and cooking.
Johnafaye Mariano, DO, was born in Olongapo, Philippines, and completed her undergraduate studies with a BS in biology and minors in chemistry and mathematics at the Virginia Commonwealth University located in Richmond, VA.
Dr. Mariano earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA. In her free time, she likes to stay physically active by running and spinning.
Dr. Mariano also enjoys cooking, especially Filipino food, as it keeps her rooted to her culture. She is also starting to learn how to make latte art. When she is not working, she loves to visit Hampton Roads, VA, to see friends and family, and enjoy the beach.
Dr. Peters earned her Doctor of Medicine at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, in Richmond, VA. In her free time, she likes to play tennis, read, and find new crafts to do. Dr. Peters also enjoys spending time with her family and two cats!
Muhammad Danyal Tariq, MD, a native of Peshawar, Pakistan, commenced his academic journey at Islamia College Peshawar before completing his MBBS at Khyber Medical College, also in Peshawar.
In his leisure hours, Dr. Tariq cherishes moments spent exploring new destinations and enjoying the company of his wife and friends.
Catie Adams, DO, was born and raised in Fredericksburg. She attended medical school at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her undergraduate studies in molecular biology and leadership studies at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking, reading, and spending time with her family. She is very grateful to have had the opportunity to come back home and serve her local community, and she hopes to remain in the area after residency to build lifelong connections with her patients.
Nafeesa Lodi, DO, was born and raised in Manassas Park, VA. She attended medical school at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed undergraduate studies at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA, with a major in neuroscience and a minor in leadership studies.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, drawing, weightlifting, and spending time with her family and three cats. She is excited to join and serve the Fredericksburg community!
Priya Manohar, DO, was born in Michigan and raised in Northern Virginia. She attended medical school at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and earned a BA in biology from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. She also holds a master’s in biomedical sciences from Bluefield College in Bluefield, VA. In her spare time, she enjoys playing pickleball, going to the gym, watching Netflix, visiting new and interesting cafes, and spending time with friends and family.

Tana Smithsakol, MD, was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. He attended medical school at St. George's University School of Medicine and earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, running, cooking, photography, and playing guitar.
Pryscilla Yoon, MD, was born and raised in Maryland. She attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed her undergraduate studies in biology at Washington University in St. Louis. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors.
Yaa Amoah-Tachie, MD, was born and raised in Maryland. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida and her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. A second-generation Ghanaian American who spent part of her childhood in Ghana, Dr. Amoah-Tachie values connecting with people from different backgrounds and learning from their experiences. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new places, spending time with family and friends, and learning about different cultures.
Arthur Kom Sipowa, MD, was born and raised in Cameroon. He earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry and chemistry from Marshall University in West Virginia and his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. Inspired by the strong sense of community he experienced growing up, Dr. Kom Sipowa pursued a career in medicine to care for others, make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives and support the well-being of the community. In his spare time, Dr. Kom Sipowa enjoys sports.
Ashley McDermott, DO, was born and raised in Hawaii. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and her medical degree from A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine. In her spare time, Dr. McDermott enjoys spending time with family, hiking and gardening.
Milka Merese, DO, was born and raised in Virginia. She earned her undergraduate degree in human nutrition from Virginia Tech and her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tennessee. In her spare time, Dr. Merese enjoys playing and watching basketball, walking her dog, and playing board games with friends..
Abigail Rubio, MD, was born and raised in Pittsburgh. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in chemistry, a Master of Public Health and her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Outside of medicine, Dr. Rubio enjoys cooking, reading and exploring new restaurants, especially in the Washington, D.C., area. A former college water polo player, she also enjoys kayaking, whitewater rafting, swimming and other water activities.
Durdana Shah, MD, was born and raised in Pakistan and moved to the U.S. about 15 years ago. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology from George Mason University in Virginia, and her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. In her spare time, Dr. Shah enjoys painting, traveling and trying new recipes.
Lucie Tchuinte Lekuikeu, MD, was born and raised in Cameroon. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Tchuinte Lekuikeu looks forward to serving and engaging with patients and the community.
