Women's Neurology Clinic

Women's Neurology Clinic

Specialized neurological care through every stage of a woman's life including family planning, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause and menopause.

Hormonal changes throughout a woman's life can affect neurological symptoms, treatment needs and overall well-being. Whether you are planning a pregnancy, currently pregnant, recovering after delivery, navigating perimenopause or experiencing menopause, our clinic is here to help.

We provide specialized neurological care for women with epilepsy, seizure disorders, migraines, multiple sclerosis (MS), a history of stroke and other neurologic conditions, working closely with your care team to support your health at every stage of life.

If you have epilepsy or a seizure disorder and are planning a pregnancy, we recommend being seen before conception so we can review your treatment plan and help reduce risks for you and your baby.

How we help

  • Review your symptoms and treatment plan during major hormonal life changes
  • Adjust medications when needed with attention to pregnancy, postpartum and menopause-related considerations
  • Monitor seizure control or changing headache and migraine patterns over time
  • Support MS care, including symptom monitoring and treatment planning
  • Help patients with a history of stroke understand risk reduction, warning signs and recovery needs
  • Evaluate neurological symptoms that may worsen or change during perimenopause or menopause
  • Provide guidance during family planning, pregnancy, postpartum recovery and menopause transitions
  • Coordinate care with your OB, maternal-fetal medicine (MFM), primary care physician and other members of your care team
