  1. How do I apply for your program?

  2. Do you have a USMLE or Comlex minimum score requirement for Step 1 and Step 2?

    Applicants must have passed USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) Step 1 and have taken both components of Step 2 and/or have passed the COMLEX (Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination) Level 1 and have taken both components of Level 2.

  3. How are medical students evaluated and ranked?

    All medical students are ranked on a scoring rubric which includes board scores, rotation grades, letters of recommendation, leadership positions, community service, scholarly activity, and interview day interactions.

  4. What is the size of your program?

    Each class will have 15 positions for a total of a 45 resident program.

  5. What is the size of the hospital and demographics?

    Mary Washington Hospital is a 471-bed acute care hospital serving a diverse patient population. Patient demographics are broad, including age ranges from adolescents to young active families to active retirees. The spectrum of patients and pathology offers an excellent learning environment.

  6. Do you accept Visas?

    Mary Washington Healthcare's Internal Medicine program will only accept J-1 Visas.
