At-a-glance

  • Protected didactics: Every Wednesday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Curriculum: Longitudinal across all four years; aligned with ACGME Psychiatry Milestones; covers the full breadth of psychiatric practice.
  • Learning formats: Faculty-led seminars, case-based discussions, and multidisciplinary sessions.
  • Resident-led learning: Clinical case presentations; participation in Journal Club, Morbidity & Mortality, and weekly case conferences.
  • Psychotherapy training: Structured seminars and supervision in psychodynamic therapy, CBT, IPT, and family therapy.
  • Teaching & leadership: Increasing responsibility over time, including leading sessions and mentoring junior residents and medical students.
  • Scholarly time & mentorship: Dedicated time for quality improvement and research, with faculty mentorship.
  • Program engagement & wellness: Opportunities to contribute to program development, provide feedback, and participate in wellness activities.
  • Grand Rounds: Monthly Psychiatry Grand Rounds with virtual access and interdisciplinary speakers on topics in psychiatry and medicine.
