Weight Loss Center, counselors, nutritionists and exercise professionals
will guide and support you through a transformation that can dramatically

The team at Mary Washington Weight Loss Center will work with you to help
you understand core behaviors and ways of thinking that may interfere
with successful weight loss. We will provide you with the tools and skills
to get moving safely, find activities you enjoy and teach you strategies
to help improve your diet for maximum nutrition, so you look and feel
your best.

Denis J. Halmi, MD, FACS
Bariatric Surgeon
Medical Director
Denis J. Halmi, MD, FACS, is a specialist in weight loss surgery and medical
weight loss and serves as the Medical Director for the Surgical Weight
Loss program at Mary Washington Healthcare. He has helped thousands of
successful patients reach their weight loss goals and regain their health.
Dr. Halmi has more than 20 years of experience with the surgical treatment
of morbid obesity and has performed more than 3,500 weight loss operations
gaining special expertise in complex minimally invasive revisional weight
loss surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery, is a Fellow
of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society
of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the International Federation for
the Surgery of Obesity.

Masoud Rezvani, MD, FACS
Bariatric Surgeon
Masoud Rezvani, MD, FACS, earned his medical degree at the Islamic Azad
University in Tehran, Iran. He completed his residency training program
in General Surgery at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA. Following
his residency, Dr. Rezvani completed a dedicated specialized fellowship
in minimally invasive weight loss surgery at Abington Memorial Hospital
where he gained expertise and experience in advanced laparoscopic bariatric
surgery and surgical endoscopy. His training also included robotic surgery
utilizing the DaVinci System to perform weight loss surgery.
Dr. Rezvani has received numerous awards for his work as a surgeon and
he had several scientific articles published in the most respected professional
publications including the official journal of The American Society for
Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
