MWHC residency graduate Dr. Achamyelehe joins MW Primary Care

Mary Washington Healthcare Welcomes Residency Graduate Dr. Mintesinot Achamyelehe to Mary Washington Primary Care

Fredericksburg, Va. (November 2, 2026) – Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC) is pleased to announce that Mintesinot Achamyelehe, MD, has joined Mary Washington Primary Care on Kilarney Drive in Fredericksburg. Known for his compassionate approach and strong patient relationships, “Dr. Minte” chose to continue serving the Fredericksburg region after completing his family medicine residency with MWHC.

“My residency at Mary Washington Healthcare gave me the opportunity to grow as a physician while building meaningful relationships with patients and colleagues," said Dr. Achamyelehe. "When I considered the next step in my career, staying here felt like the natural choice. The transition from residency to a permanent practice in the community has also provided continuity for many of Dr. Achamyelehe's patients. Several patients he cared for during residency have chosen to continue receiving care from him at Mary Washington Primary Care, reflecting the trust they have built together and the personalized approach to care.
