3 Ways to Gear Up for the Spring Fever 5K

As the Stafford Hospital Spring Fever 5K creeps up, it's important to start getting ready for the big race! Follow these three easy tips to get started in the upcoming weeks.

  1. Stay hydrated throughout the day. Make sure your water bottle is filled and ready for refills! A hydrated body just runs better. Get it? RUNS better?
  2. Break in your exercise shoes. New shoes are exciting, but you don't want to discover you have a blister halfway through the race. Start wearing those shoes now!
  3. Listen to your body. As you train, whether it's walking, running, or some other form of exertion it's important to listen to your body. If you need to take a rest day, take it. If you need to slow down and catch your breath, catch it. Keeping you healthy and happy is the goal. You don't have to overdo it.
