Peter Shahid, MD
Peter Shahid, MD, is an interventional radiologist with Mary Washington Interventional Radiology who specializes in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. He is committed to providing personalized care and helping patients understand their treatment options every step of the way.
Dr. Shahid completed integrated residency training in interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. His expertise includes a wide range of imaging techniques, including body, chest, spine and ultrasound imaging. He enjoys tackling complex cases and values the broad perspective that diagnostic radiology brings to patient care.
Before residency, Dr. Shahid completed an internship in internal medicine at Jefferson Health System Einstein Philadelphia Hospital. He earned his medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where he participated in the Clinical and Translational Research Track. He received his bachelor's degree in molecular, cell and developmental biology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
