Emily Timmons is a board‑certified physician assistant with a special interest in knee and joint replacement care. She partners closely with patients before and after surgery—focusing on strength and conditioning, pain control, and functional milestones—so people can safely regain mobility and confidently return to the activities they love.
Committed to access and equity, Emily has served in free clinics and participated in medical mission trips to Haiti, Guatemala, and Mexico. These experiences shape her compassionate, team‑based approach and her belief that excellent musculoskeletal care should be available to everyone.
Emily earned her Doctor of Medical Science and Master of PA Medicine from the University of Lynchburg, following a bachelor’s degree in human biology from NC State. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and maintains BLS and ACLS credentials. In addition to emergency care experience, she trained across orthopedics and peri‑operative services, giving her a broad foundation for joint care coordination.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, antiquing, and cooking.
