There are times when – despite the best efforts of parents, physicians
and the availability of the best technology - that death occurs through
miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death. In recognizing this, we also
recognize our opportunity to assist and accompany people through this
most difficult of times. Our staff considers it an honor to care for you
and your extended family.
Our staff includes a Perinatal Loss Support Nurse who coordinates the team
which also consists of Case Managers and Chaplains as well as a full team
of physicians and nurses who are educated and trained in comprehensive
and compassionate care.
Perinatal services include:
- On site Bereavement Support and referrals
- Perinatal Loss Support Nurse (who can answer many of your questions)
- Healing Through Support (Perinatal Loss Parent Support meeting)
- Library of books at no charge to you
Garden of Angels - free burial program for miscarriage or stillborn losses within.
Perinatal Loss Support services are available to anyone in the community
regardless of the gestational stage of the loss, if the loss occurred
in another place or time, and is available to bereaved grandparents.
For situations where a pregnant woman learns her baby has a life limiting
condition, Perinatology, Obstetric and Neonatology staff (medicine and
nursing) work together with a wide interdisciplinary team to develop and
offer a plan of care unique and individualized for each situation.
