Connections: Grief Workshops for Teens

Are you a teen* who has experienced the death of a loved one? Please join us for a series of grief workshops for teens. We will meet four times throughout the summer to connect with other grieving teens, learn new coping skills, and share memories of those we’ve lost. Teens can participate in all dates or select which activities they are interested in and only join those dates. Register below!

Session 1: Outdoor Adventure

Monday, June 8, 2026

1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Join us for an outdoor adventure as we use nature to teach us about grief and life’s changes. Canoeing will be led by a certified Fredericksburg Parks and Rec employee.

Session 2: Mindful Movement

Wednesday, June 24, 2026

1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Train your mind to be calm and present as the waves of grief pass through you. Session will be co-facilitated with a certified yoga instructor.

Session 3: Meaningful Melodies

Session 4: Artistic Expression

Friday, July 31, 2026
