Fredericksburg, VA (June 19, 2025) — Mary Washington Healthcare is pleased to recognize Allan L. Hardy, MD with Mary Washington Gastroenterology, for being named a Fellow of the Obesity Medicine Association, one of the organization's most prestigious honors.
The designation of Fellow is reserved for clinicians who demonstrate exceptional dedication and commitment to the clinical treatment of obesity and obesity-related diseases. Dr. Hardy has been a member of OMA for eight years and has completed extensive education focused on evidence-based obesity treatment. He has also contributed to the advancement of the field through his service on the OMA’s Advocacy Committee, Speakers Bureau Committee, and Membership Committee.
In addition to this prestigious recognition, Dr. Hardy is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, signifying board certification in this specialized field.
“I am grateful to receive this honor,” said Dr. Hardy. “Being a Fellow of OMA allows me to stand out as someone who is passionate about the field and continues to seek new ways to treat obesity successfully. I am able to help my patients overcome this chronic disease and become healthier by using an evidence-based clinical approach.”
