Our surgeons provide leading edge surgery and work with other physicians to coordinate patient care. Our practice offers an expertly trained and experienced staff who provide care for the whole patient. Individual cancer cases are discussed at a multidisciplinary conference to ensure that patients receive the optimum sequence of the various therapies designed to eradicate cancer.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care for our patients while staying close to home. Our emphasis is on patient-focused care. The medical staff of Mary Washington General Surgery–Stafford treats patients with compassion and concern. We have a team-focused approach to treat each patient, involving one of our surgeons, other physicians, clinicians, each patient, and his or her family if requested. Dr. Baldwin Young follows patients before, during and after the surgical process. There is a focus on pre-operative teaching for both patients and families. In fact, the surgeons encourage family involvement in the surgical course of action.
