Yub Raj Sedhai, MD

Yub Raj Sedhai, M.D. is an advanced lung disease and transplant pulmonologist. He provides comprehensive care for patients with complex respiratory conditions, with particular expertise in interstitial lung disease and pulmonary hypertension. He is quadruple board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and advanced critical care echocardiography. His advanced training enhances the specialized services offered by Mary Washington Pulmonology.

Before joining Mary Washington Pulmonology, Dr. Sedhai completed an advanced fellowship in advanced lung disease and lung transplantation at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Va. He has also completed a fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Bowling Green, Ky., where he served as chief fellow for research.

Dr. Sedhai completed his internal medicine residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Darby, Pa., followed by a year as chief medical resident at Michigan State University in Grand Rapids, Mi. He earned his medical degree from Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Nepal.

Dr. Sedhai has a special clinical focus on interstitial lung disease (ILD) and is dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients with complex and progressive lung disorders. His additional clinical interests include pulmonary hypertension, and advanced critical care echocardiography.
