Tammy Leonard, MD,FACOG
Dr. Leonard is a board-certified member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology who has been practicing general obstetrics and gynecology in Fredericksburg, Virginia since 2001.
Dr. Leonard was born and raised in southern West Virginia. She completed an undergraduate degree at Concord College in business administration and computer science. After working as a software engineer for General Electric she felt a need to change direction and chose medicine. She completed her premedical curriculum while working full time and then took the leap into medical school at the University of Virginia. She completed her residency at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC.
She is recognized in the community as a skilled physician who will listen to you and be ready to discuss wellness, prevention, and treatment options. She values each encounter as an opportunity to share in your blessings and trials. She understands that being a great doctor requires an ongoing commitment to continued learning and education; balancing "new and improved" versus "tried and trusted" healthcare in your best interest.

She's professional, knowledgeable, and honestly probably the best OB I've ever consulted. I like the no nonsense energy she displays, and she is easily understood. She listened to every question, answered them, and I definitely trust her judgement.

For the most part this was a pleasant experience and all my questions were answered. I am only leaving off one point because I do not believe the doctor went above and beyond.
