Shayma Jawad, DO
Shayma Jawad, DO, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and provides comprehensive eye care. She has advanced training in both traditional glaucoma surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma procedures, as well as cataract surgery.
Dr. Jawad completed a glaucoma fellowship at West Virginia University, where she was recognized as Fellow of the Year, and an ophthalmology residency at Beaumont Health, where she served as chief resident.
She earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and has a strong background in research through her work at the National Eye Institute.
She is committed to helping patients protect their vision and understand their eye health, taking time to explain conditions and treatment options in a clear, supportive way.
Outside of work, Dr. Jawad enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, trying new restaurants, hiking and traveling.
