Shana M. Leckliter, FNP-C

Shana M. Leckliter, FNP‑C, is a compassionate and highly experienced nurse practitioner who has been proudly serving the Mary Washington Healthcare community for more than 20 years. She currently cares for patients in the breast surgery clinic at Mary Washington General Surgery, where she supports individuals at risk for breast cancer, guides ongoing cancer surveillance, and treats a variety of benign breast conditions.

Throughout her extensive career, Shana has also provided care in palliative medicine, hospice, care coordination, orthopedics, pediatrics, and surgical services. Her diverse clinical background allows her to see each patient as a whole person and to provide thoughtful, personalized care at every stage of life.

Shana has consistently excelled academically, graduating at the top of her class during each step of her nursing education—from her associate degree through her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and ultimately her Master of Science in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner certification. She is nationally certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Her clinical interests include women’s health, cancer care, palliative medicine, endocrinology, and orthopedics. She is especially passionate about helping patients understand their health, navigate their care with confidence, and feel truly supported throughout their medical journey.

When she’s not caring for patients, Shana enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing through arts and crafts.
