Rod Flynn, MD,FACS
Dr. Flynn is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, and has been a surgical oncologist since 2004. He has experience in treating patients with various abdominal cancers, as well as breast cancer and cancers of the skin and soft tissues. Since his time with us, he has worked for several comprehensive, community-based, cancer centers and has gained additional insights into improving patient experience and care within a multidisciplinary, comprehensive team.
His goal has always been to apply his expertise to patients in the local community so they don’t have to travel outside to receive the same level of care. He is therefore honored and thrilled to be back in the community which gave him his start. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Flynn is looking forward to serving on the MWHC educational leadership team and contributing to the education of our community’s future physicians.
Faith plays a large role in his approach to patient care, and he believes that his role is to serve God through serving his patients. He has always prayed for his patients, and loves to pray with patients and family members at visits and before procedures, if they desire.

This was my first meeting with Dr. Flynn. I was very impressed. He took plenty of time, examined and explained his findings, and had a very pleasant, likable personality. I'll use him again should the need arise.
