Muhammad Shamim, DO
Dr. Muhammad Shamim is a board-certified physician specializing in rheumatology. He completed advanced training in rheumatology at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, following his internal medicine residency at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio.
Dr. Shamim earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Virginia and graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Tech with degrees in Economics and Biological Sciences.
He is passionate about improving patient care through research and education. His work includes studies on osteoporosis screening and autoimmune conditions such as lupus and vasculitis, with findings shared at major medical conferences.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Shamim enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, and watching soccer.
