Molly Scharf, WHNP-BC

Molly Scharf, WHNP-BC is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with a strong clinical background spanning primary care, routine gynecology, fertility care, and maternal-fetal medicine. She is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care grounded in prevention, education, and evidence-based decision-making.

Molly earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from James Madison University and her Master of Science in Nursing (Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner) from the University of Cincinnati. She brings a collaborative approach to the care she provides by combining advanced clinical expertise with a focus on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment to promote wellness and ensure continuity of care.

Prior to joining Mary Washington Healthcare, Molly provided women’s health and preventive care in a primary care practice, and she served patients at Maternal Fetal Specialists, where she helped manage complex and high-risk pregnancies, including diabetes in pregnancy.

She also worked as a fertility nurse coordinator at Shady Grove Fertility, supporting patients through evaluation and treatment planning and prior to that she spent eight years as a registered nurse in a Level III NICU and newborn nursery—experience that continues to shape her calm, supportive presence with patients and families. Molly will be seeing patients at Mary Washington General Surgery in Fredericksburg. 

Outside of work, Molly enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and exercising.
