Meeta R. Desai, MD
Dr. Desai joined the practice in October 2022. Board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, she was also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Penn State Health in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Desai earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Mary Baldwin University and her MD from St. George’s University School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Penn State Health. Dr. Desai also participated in rotations at Virginia Tech Carilion Clinic and the University of North Carolina's Center for Esophageal Diseases.
She has delivered lectures and presentations at professional conferences and co-authored research papers in gastroenterology. In 2021, Dr. Desai received Penn State Health’s Exceptional Performance Award. She is active in volunteer work, including with Habitat for Humanity and Global Medical Brigades. Dr. Desai is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association.
