Matthew Madujibeya, MD

Dr. Matthew Madujibeya is a board-certified family medicine physician. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology Pre/Professional with a minor in Chemistry from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, VA, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, AR.

He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. Dr. Madujibeya holds certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS, and Nexplanon insertion. His leadership roles include serving as Community Service Chair for the EVMS Family Medicine Residency and as a Student Advocacy Council member, where he supported student mental health and wellness. He also contributed to the Student National Medical Association as a MAPS Liaison, helping establish and maintain undergraduate chapters.

Dr. Madujibeya offers a variety of in-office procedures for patients such as corticosteroid injections of the knee, shoulder, hand, and wrist, and Injections for trigger finger, carpel tunnel, and trigger points. He is also well versed in simple skin tag removal, cryotherapy for wart removal, ganglion cyst drainage, knee joint aspiration, and incision and drainage of abscesses when necessary.

Dr. Madujibeya has a strong commitment to community service and mentorship. He has previously volunteered at the HOPES Clinic, providing free healthcare to underserved populations, and mentors both residents and prospective medical students through various programs.

His work experience includes teaching and tutoring roles in North Carolina and serving as a TA for UNC-Chapel Hill’s MED program. He has delivered presentations on topics such as disseminated gonorrhea and osteoarthritis treatment, and led a quality improvement project on patient education materials. He is affiliated with professional organizations including AAFP, AMA, ACP, and SNMA. In his free time, he enjoys soccer, tailoring, and photography.
