Mary-Gordon B. Brown, APRN,FNP-C

Mary‑Gordon Brown is a board‑certified family nurse practitioner who cares for adults with heart rhythm disorders, including patients living with pacemakers and implantable defibrillators, as well as those with heart failure, valvular, and coronary artery disease.

She brings deep experience in electrophysiology and device management. In addition to years of outpatient and inpatient cardiology practice, she helped lead a remote cardiac device program, monitoring transmissions for more than 1,400 patients and guiding care when abnormal rhythms, device alerts, or heart‑failure warnings appeared.

Mary‑Gordon earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (cum laude) in 2004 and her Master of Science in Nursing (Family Health) in 2006. She is currently completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Virginia Commonwealth University, with an emphasis in nursing leadership and organizational science, and anticipates graduating in April 2026. She maintains current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support and is licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Mary‑Gordon prioritizes clear communication and practical education, partnering with each patient to understand their goals and make heart‑healthy decisions that fit real life. In her free time, she enjoys time with her family, cooking, reading, exercising, being outdoors, playing sports with her children, and walking her dogs.
