Mara Cate, PA-C
Mara Cate joined the practice in March 2023 after nearly six years as a physician assistant with a local internal medicine group. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Radford University Carilion in Roanoke, Virginia, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Mary Washington.
Mara sees patients at both our Fredericksburg and Stafford offices and provides periodic coverage for the Gastroenterology inpatient service at Mary Washington and Stafford Hospitals. She works closely with Dr. Lisanne Anders as a key member of her care team, while also supporting other physicians at Gastroenterology Associates of Fredericksburg as needed

Mara was very professional, but also kind and showed concern about my condition (I need an endoscopy). The staff was all very polite and helpful. The only problem is getting appointments quickly. I had to call the appointments number several times before they had providers's schedules, which meant that when I did get an appointment, it was later than I would have liked.

I felt very comfortable at this office. My needs and concerns were met fully. Everything was explained to me in detail. I know they will help me get to a solution.
