Mara Cate, PA-C
Mara Cate joined the practice in March 2023 after nearly six years as a physician assistant with a local internal medicine group. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Radford University Carilion in Roanoke, Virginia, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Mary Washington.
Mara sees patients at both our Fredericksburg and Stafford offices and provides periodic coverage for the Gastroenterology inpatient service at Mary Washington and Stafford Hospitals. She works closely with Dr. Lisanne Anders as a key member of her care team, while also supporting other physicians at Gastroenterology Associates of Fredericksburg as needed

The front desk greeted me with a smile and were very professional. The nurse greeted me with a smile and was very professional. She took all my information for the visit. Mara Cate NP was so nice and pleasant. She took a detailed medical history and answered all my questions.
