Dr. Asfaw completed a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, where he was also a chief of residents in internal medicine. He is board certified in endocrine, diabetes, and metabolism. Most recently, he was chief of Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.
Dr. Asfaw was named a Northern Virginia Magazine Top Doctor in 2026.

Look Dr.Asfaw and his nurses are top notch they go above and beyond trust me the front desk staff have gotten better the one young lady that's been there the longest is the best you should recognize each one of them
