Lisanne Christin Anders, MD
Dr. Anders joined the practice in September 2020. She earned her MD from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She received several research awards, including the Emerging Liver Scholar Research Award.
Dr. Anders specializes in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including EGD, colonoscopy, and video capsule endoscopy. She has a special interest in gastrointestinal motility disorders and gut-brain interaction disorders (DGBIs), with expertise in high-resolution esophageal and anorectal manometry. She also completed specialized training in motility and DGBI disorders at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Anders is credentialed with most insurance plans and holds privileges at Mary Washington Hospital, Stafford Hospital, and the Fredericksburg Endoscopy Center.

I was very pleased with my visit with Dr. Anders. She listened carefully to my concerns and answered them clearly. I felt very much at ease with her, and the other staff members with whom I interacted.

This was my first visit, and even though I was hoping for some direct treatment for the issue I'm experiencing, I respect Dr. Anders suggestion to perform a procedure prior to that. I really felt that she was totally focused on learning everything she could about my gastrointestinal issues and that she will do whatever it takes to help me resolve them.

The waiting time was entirely to long my appointment was for 8;50 I did not see the doctor until almost 10:00 someone should have at lest come to tell me she was running late. Other then that I like Dr.Anders very muchMy time is just as inpatient as hers.
