Lauren Searls, DO

Lauren Searls, DO, is a gastroenterologist with Mary Washington Gastroenterology. She cares for patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including liver disease, esophageal varices, inflammatory bowel disease, GERD, colon polyps, obesity and metabolic conditions.

Dr. Searls completed her gastroenterology fellowship at Marshall University and her internal medicine residency at Charleston Area Medical Center, where she also served as chief resident. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and her Bachelor of Science from West Virginia Wesleyan College.

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Searls has held quality improvement leadership roles at Charleston Area Medical Center and Marshall University. Her work has been recognized with several honors, including the West Virginia University Resident Humanism in Medicine Award, Intern of the Year and Above and Beyond Award. She is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians.
