Jamesha S. Lewis Bryant, DO

Jamesha Lewis Bryant, DO, is a board-certified adult psychiatrist with fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry from VCU Health. She specializes in caring for underserved and diverse populations, with clinical interests focused on children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., autism, intellectual disabilities) and neuropsychiatric syndromes such as catatonia, PANS/PANDAS, and autoimmune encephalitis.

She earned her DO cum laude from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, and holds honors degrees in Physiology from Georgetown University and Biochemistry from Hampton University. Dr. Lewis Bryant is board eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry and a member of the American Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Her strengths include diagnostic interviewing, collaborative treatment planning, and integrated psychotherapeutic and pharmacologic care. As Quality Improvement Chief Fellow, she led initiatives in patient safety and faculty development. Her approach is rooted in cultural sensitivity and a commitment to equitable mental health care.
