Jameel Shareef, DO
Dr. Shareef joined the practice in October 2023. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Kent Hospital/Brown University in Rhode Island.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, Dr. Shareef is skilled in upper endoscopy (EGD), variceal banding, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, video capsule endoscopy, and Fibroscan liver elastography. His practice includes colon cancer screening, GI bleeding, IBS, IBD, and liver disease.
Dr. Shareef is credentialed with most insurance plans and sees patients in Fredericksburg and Stafford. He performs procedures at the Fredericksburg Endoscopy Center, Mary Washington Hospital, and Stafford Hospital.

While in Stafford Hospital for Internal Bleeding last week, I was diagnosed with a most likely Mallory Weis tear. I'm still having Melena. During my visit with Dr. Shareef, he ordered additional diagnostics. I was very grateful for his attention to my concerns, and the need for further testing.
