Izzah Vasim, MD

Dr. Izzah Vasim is a board‑certified internal medicine physician with additional advanced training in hormone and metabolism‑related conditions. 

Dr. Vasim earned her medical degree from King Edward University in Lahore, Pakistan. She completed her internal medicine residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health, followed by a fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Virginia. During her fellowship, she served as Chief Fellow and helped develop educational programs for future doctors.

Dr. Vasim’s clinical experience includes caring for patients with serious medical needs in the hospital, as well as managing complex hormone and metabolic conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, and adrenal issues. She is passionate about teaching and has created interactive learning tools to help medical students and residents better understand endocrine health.

She is also an active medical researcher and has published studies and presented at national conferences on topics such as diabetes and heart health, intermittent fasting, and high blood pressure caused by hormone disorders. Dr. Vasim is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Endocrine Society.
