Hussam A. Kurdi, MD,MPH
Dr. Hussam Kurdi is a seasoned medical professional with a diverse and extensive background in both internal medicine and occupational medicine. Recently, he served as a Consultant in Internal Medicine at Dr. Sulaiman AL Habib Hospital and in Occupational Medicine at Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, he held the position of Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn, AL.
He was also the Medical Director and Head of the Adult Medicine Department at Preferred Medical Group in Phenix City, AL. Dr. Kurdi's career includes a Fellowship in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, as well as a residency in Internal Medicine at the Connecticut Institute for Communities. His certifications include board certification in Occupational Medicine and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Kurdi's academic background includes a Master of Public Health from Harvard, with concentrations in Occupational and Environmental Health and Public Health Leadership. He earned his M.B.B.S. from King Abdulaziz University.
He has contributed to several research publications, including work on the impact of COVID-19 stressors on migrant workers in Kuwait, which was published in British Medical Journal Global Health. Dr. Kurdi has also published research on heart failure treatment and musculoskeletal ultrasound in occupational medicine.
