Grace Huffman, MD,HMDC,FAAHPM

Grace Brooke Huffman, MD, CAQ‑G, CAQ‑HPM, HMDC, FAAHPM, is Medical Director of Mary Washington Hospice and brings more than 30 years of experience in Family Medicine, Geriatrics, and Hospice & Palliative Medicine. She earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, completed her family medicine residency at the New York Medical College in Hoboken, NJ, and completed a Medical Editing Fellowship at Georgetown University.

Her career includes leadership roles across hospice and palliative care programs in Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia, including establishing and directing the Palliative Care Service at Winchester Medical Center. She maintains board certification in Family Medicine with added qualifications in Geriatrics and Hospice and Palliative Medicine and is a Certified Hospice Medical Director, as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice & Palliative Medicine.

Dr. Huffman has contributed extensively to medical education, serving on the Georgetown University Family Medicine faculty and working as an Associate Editor for American Family Physician. She has authored peer‑reviewed articles, book chapters, and numerous educational presentations for medical and community audiences.

Throughout her career, she has focused on helping patients and families navigate serious illness with compassion, clear communication, and individualized support, bringing a thoughtful and steady presence to those in her care.
