Dongjin Shin, FNP-BC

Dongjin Shin is a family nurse practitioner whose commitment to learning and nursing expertise adds immense value to our team. Her educational journey began with a bachelor's degree at CUNY in New York City, followed by a significant stint working with major pharmaceutical companies, overseeing clinical trials in Korea before returning to the USA.

Upon her return, Dongjin pursued her FNP degree at George Mason University while concurrently working at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. Her unwavering dedication to patient-centered care shines through in her interactions with patients. She is deeply passionate about continuous learning and staying current with the latest healthcare advancements.

In her free time, Dongjin treasures moments spent with her two boys and her loving husband. Their shared interests include travel, culinary adventures exploring new foods, and discovering new places together. As part of the Mary Washington Medical Oncology team, Dongjin is eager to provide exceptional care to the Fredericksburg community. Her compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care has earned her the admiration of both patients and colleagues alike, as she consistently goes the extra mile to ensure patients feel supported and valued throughout their healthcare journey.
