Brittany Wiseman Shenk, PA-C
Brittany is originally from the area and grew up in Spotsylvania. She completed her undergraduate studies at James Madison University where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences with minors in Biology and Medical Spanish.
She briefly moved back to the area after college while preparing to apply for PA school and worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Kurian Thott, with whom she now practices. Brittany studied at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC and received her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies in 2019. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Brittany enjoys getting to know her patients and seeing women throughout different stages of their life. She values making her patients feel truly heard and providing education, subsequently empowering them to make the best decision for their health with her guidance.
In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, family, friends, and pets (a cat, 2 dogs, and 3 goats). Brittany and her husband are currently expecting their first child.

I arrived early and was called back before my appointment time, which was refreshing. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Brittany Shenk took the time after my biopsy to answer questions about other questions I had regarding moving forward in diagnosis and treatment. These were questions I couldn't formulate prior to the biopsy. Many providers are in and out so quick they don't take time for additional questions. I went in anxious, but I went home feeling calm because she helped me understand everything. She is exceptional.

Brittany is amazing she took the time to discuss and care for issues that wasn't on the agenda for the day but was -affecting me at the time, she gave consult and assisted with that issue. She also reviewed my records recognized that I had the procedure I was there to have and didn't put me thru unnecessary actions.
