Anita Akhtar, MD is a dedicated and board-certified rheumatologist and internist who brings over a decade of clinical experience to her patients. She earned her medical degree from Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at Harlem Hospital in New York City, where she developed a deep commitment to patient-centered care in diverse communities. Dr. Akhtar further honed her expertise during her Rheumatology Fellowship at West Virginia University, where she trained in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, including musculoskeletal ultrasound (USSONAR certified).

I was very impressed with my treatment from beginning to end of this visit. Especially after experiencing less than that at a previous visit to another specialist a couple of weeks ago. I wish I had a survey for that one!
