Angela R. Stiltner, MD,CPE,HMDC,FAAHPM

Angela R. Stiltner, MD, CPE, HMDC, FAAHPM, is a board-certified physician specializing in hospice and palliative medicine, geriatric medicine, and family medicine. She earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed her residency in family practice at Carilion Family Practice Residency Program, followed by a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Carilion Health System in Roanoke, VA.

Dr. Stiltner also holds the Certified Physician Executive credential from the American Association for Physician Leadership. Her extensive certifications include Hospice Medical Director Certification and board certifications in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Family Medicine.

Dr. Stiltner has served in multiple leadership roles throughout her career, including Senior Medical Director at Hospice of the Piedmont, where she guided clinical operations, education, and strategic initiatives. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and has been recognized nationally with the Hearst Leadership Scholarship.

Her academic contributions include faculty appointments at the University of Virginia and numerous invited lectures on advanced care planning, pain management, and end-of-life care.

Outside of her professional work, Dr. Stiltner enjoys spending time with her family, exploring Virginia’s scenic outdoors, and volunteering in her community. She is passionate about improving quality of care for patients and families and advancing education in hospice and palliative medicine.
