MWH Auxiliary Tree of Lights

The Mary Washington Hospital Auxiliary will celebrate the 41^st anniversary of the Tree of Lights program in honor of loved ones, past and present, on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the MWH rear atrium.

You are invited to sponsor a light on the tree for $20 per light to recognize your loved ones, either “in memory of” or “in honor of”. (Our Tax ID# is 75-2985923.)

Proceeds from the Tree of Lights will support programs and services within Mary Washington Hospital. The names of those you wish to honor with a light will be published in the annual Tree of Lights memory book and displayed at the entrance to the MWH Auxiliary’s Meditation Garden.

To ensure the name(s) you are recognizing is recorded in the memory book prior to the tree lighting, please submit your contribution to the Auxiliary no later than Monday, December 2, 2025. Contributions received after that date will be updated in the book on a weekly basis.

For many years, the funds collected from the Tree of Lights program went toward funding the Auxiliary’s $2.1 million pledge to the Cancer Center. The Auxiliary is proud to say that the pledge has now been fully funded. From this year forward, your contributions will go toward funding smaller, more manageable MWH projects. The Auxiliary has sent a letter to all departments within the hospital asking for ideas that can then be incorporated into a “Wish List” of projects to be funded.

We ask you to please be generous in giving to the Tree of Lights! All of the money collected will benefit the hospital.
