Course Offerings and Descriptions
MWHC Associates and Healthcare Providers Training Courses:

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS): This course builds on the foundation of BLS and the importance of high-quality
CPR. This advanced course emphasizes effective teamwork, post-cardiac
arrest care and integrated systems of care. The course is available as
classroom-based or eLearning. Must be an EMT-I level or above to register.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS): This course uses a scenario-based, team approach to teach emergency management
and treatment of pediatric respiratory and cardiac arrest. The course
is available as classroom-based or eLearning. Must be an EMT-I or above
to register.

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers: Students providing healthcare to patients in in-hospital and out-of-hospital
settings should take this course. The course also provides instruction
on how to effectively perform CPR in a healthcare setting. Rescuers who
want to learn more about performing 1-or 2-rescuer CPR for adult, child,
and infant victims can also take this course.

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Renewal: This course for those students who need to renew their current BLS for
Healthcare Providers certification.

Heartsaver AED: This classroom course is led by an instructor with the usage of videos.
The course teaches students the basics of handling adult choking. Using
the AHA’s proven Practice-While-Watching technique, instructors
are able to watch the students, offer constructive criticism, and direct
the students’ skill acquisition.

Heartsaver First Aid: This classroom course is led by a teacher with the help of videos. Students
are taught how to respond to an emergency and how to handle basic situations
and scenarios including sprains, bleeding, shock, and broken bones, until
EMS is able to arrive.

Heartsaver First Aid with CPR & AED: This class instructs students in the critical skills necessary to successfully
manage choking, first aid, or sudden cardiac arrest emergencies until
EMS is able to arrive. Students study how to manage broken bones, sprains,
shock, bleeding, and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches
AED use and adult CPR.

S.T.A.B.L.E: Students are instructed on how to provide neonatal stabilization in a
wide variety of settings: complex hospital environments, community hospitals,
emergency rooms, and birth centers. Neonatal resuscitation background required.

ECG & Pharmacology Course: Students are taught about electrophysiology, basic arrhythmias, normal
ECG measurements, and the appropriate drug administration within the ACLS
algorithms in an instructor-led, classroom-based course.
Community Training Courses:

When registering for classes, please have payment information ready. We
accept cash, check or credit card. Once payment has been received, you
will receive your course materials. For your convenience, payment may
be made over the phone. Upon successful completion of course, the student
will receive their certification card. Certification cards must be renewed
every 2 years.

Payment & registration for a class must be made at the MWHC American
