COVID-19 Donations

COVID-19 Donations

The outpouring of support from the Fredericksburg region, including our neighbors in Stafford, King George, Spotsylvania, and Orange, for our frontline healthcare workers has been tremendous. Many individuals and organizations have offered to help in any way they can.

We are setting up a donation dropoff area at the main entrance of 2300 Fall Hill Avenue from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. Someone will greet you under the covered turnaround to accept your donation. Please bring your donation in a plastic bag (grocery bag) or box. Below you will find a list of the items we need the most.

You may be wondering about Governor Northam's Stay-at-Home order and how it pertains to dropping off donations. Because the order allows for volunteer work with organizations providing charitable or social services, you are permitted to drive here to drop off your donation. However, if you would feel more comfortable mailing it, please use the following address:

Mary Washington Healthcare
Supply Chain (Donations)
2300 Fall Hill Ave, Suite 108
Fredericksburg, VA 22401

Another suggestion is to find a friend or neighbor who is planning to make a donation, and send your items with them. Some neighborhoods are using a designated house with a box on the porch to collect donations. You can also send your donations with a friend who works here at Mary Washington Healthcare.

You may prefer to donate cash, checks, or VISA gift cards to be used for meals for clinical staff or other related emergency needs. Please follow the instructions on the dropdown for Monetary Donations.

N95 mask cover with ties (see instructions)

N95 mask cover with elastic (see instructions)

Face shields (see instructions)

Masks with pockets for N95 masks (instructions coming soon)

You may be able to get free supplies to make one mask at your local Jo-Ann Fabrics. See more here.

*Some of our crafters suggest using floral wire for the nose pieces. Other ideas include pipe cleaners (chenille stems) and the hard plastic bendable closures from bags of coffee.

Monetary Donations/Gift Cards

In order to maintain a healthy environment for our medical staff, we cannot accept food deliveries to our hospitals or Emergency Departments. However, we are able to collect cash, checks, online donations, and Visa gift cards to order food on your behalf. By ordering the food ourselves, we can combine several donations and provide a meal for an entire shift of workers, while still supporting our local restaurants.
