In 2017 she earned a bachelor’s degree (magna cum laude) in Nursing from Daemen College in Buffalo, New York after earning an associate degree in Nursing from Jamestown Community College in 2016.
For five years prior to advancing her career as a Midwife, Mariah enjoyed serving laboring women and their families in the role of a Labor and Delivery Nurse, four of them at Mary Washington Hospital. She is highlighted numerous times by her patients for providing outstanding care and has won the Daisy Award for her meaningful and extraordinary service.
Mariah’s philosophy for Nurse Midwifery is to build entrusting relationships with women of all backgrounds. She seeks their partnership, to advocate and support them through all developmental aspects of life. These connections may include that which begin with menstruation, through pregnancy and birth all the way through post menopause to end of life. She loves educating women and their families through a holistic approach because it prepares women to make informed health decisions and empowers them to participate in their own disease prevention with knowledge and autonomy.
Mariah currently resides in downtown Fredericksburg Virginia with her husband and two children. She enjoys continuing her education, serving in her church and community and spending time with her family. She also appreciates an active lifestyle and being outdoors.
