Hyperbaric oxygen treatment
This specialized treatment is one in which the patient breathes oxygen inside a pressurized chamber. The treatment quickly delivers high concentrations of oxygen to the bloodstream. This assists in the healing process of wounds and is effective in fighting certain types of infections.

Mary Washington offers the only access in the region to two dedicated hyperbaric oxygen chambers.

What to expect
The first visit is spent on an initial consultation and examination at the center. Once this visit is complete, you will be ready to begin your therapy. When you arrive for therapy, you will receive complete instructions regarding your treatment. Please review our hyperbaric chamber patient overview for more information about preparing for your visit.

You must bring an insurance card and physician order for treatment. To help your visit go more quickly, please complete a patient assessment form before arriving.
