Focus on thoracic surgery
Surgeons who participate in our thoracic surgery program are experienced in the most advanced evaluations and treatments for cancer and other diseases of the chest. Our highly trained and experienced surgeon, J. Timothy Sherwood, MD, is among the 15 percent of U.S. cardiothoracic surgeons who exclusively perform thoracic procedures.
Thanks to the skill of our surgeons, our outcomes are among the best in the nation, including a zero percent mortality rate in 2007. Our multidisciplinary support team ensures high quality care from a patient’s initial visit through diagnosis, treatment and post-surgical follow-up.
