The pediatric unit at Mary Washington Hospital is designed to make children and their families feel secure and comfortable during times of illness or injury. Our experienced pediatric team knows how to deliver the gentle, attentive care that hospitalized children need. In addition, we offer a full range of pediatric services through our partnership with pediatric specialists who practice in Richmond and Washington, D.C.

Pediatric Hospitalists at Mary Washington Hospital are now under the expertise and guidance of our partner, Children's National Medical Center. This team of neonatologists and hospitalists provides 24/7 coverage to all babies in Mary Washington Hospital's NICU and well-baby nursery. In addition, Children's National pediatric hospitals coordinate 24 hour care to all babies  at Stafford Hospital's Level II Nursery and well-baby nursery. 

Mary Washington Hospital chose to work with Children's National Medical Center to provide best-practice care delivery and services to the inpatient unit. It is our mission to further enhance the medical care provided to the children of Fredericksburg region through the expertise and backing of one of the top children's hospitals in the nation.
