Visiting hours Family members and friends are welcome to visit. However, patient care comes first at Mary Washington Hospital. That's why specific visiting regulations have been established for each unit. We will do our best to accommodate visitors who wish to spend additional time with patients outside of normal visiting hours.
Following are general guidelines for visitors:
Visitors must wear shirts and shoes.
People with colds and any contagious diseases should not visit patients.
Visitors should keep visits quiet, avoiding any unnecessary noise.
Visitors are likely to be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments, or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.
The number of visitors may be limited based on the patient's condition.
