Kelly McDonough

Administrative Director of Emergency Services, Mary Washington Hospital

 As director of Emergency Services, Kelly McDonough is accountable for the leadership, management and clinical and quality initiatives of the services. In this position, McDonough serves as a role model, leader and mentor to emergency medical service providers and is a liaison to internal and external customers. She has served in this position since 2006.

McDonough received her Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) from Radford University before joining the military. She served in the U.S. Army, where she worked as an intensive care nurse at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. In 2003, she served in the 28th Combat Support Hospital ICU Burn Unit in Iraq. She was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army as a Captain.

In December 2007, McDonough completed her Master of Science in nursing (MSN) in leadership and management of healthcare administration from Drexel University.
